HCIP Security (Fast track) V1.0 (Page 13 )

• A — Tables
• B — Named file formats
• C — Schemas
• E — Databases

Why these are correct

• Tables: Can be cloned using CREATE TABLE ... CLONE. The clone initially uses zero-copy cloning, so storage is shared until changes are made.
• Named file formats: Can be cloned as database objects, preserving the file-format definition.
• Schemas: A schema and its eligible objects can be cloned.
• Databases: A database and its eligible schemas and objects can be cloned.

Why the others are incorrect

• Shares: A share is an account-level data-sharing object, not a normal cloneable database object.
• Users: Users are security principals and cannot be cloned with CLONE.

• Design Studio > Emails ? create an email-template folder
• Design Studio > Landing Pages ? create a landing-page-template folder
• Add the relevant assets to each folder
• Right-click the folder and choose Share Folder
• Select the destination workspaces

• AWS Network Firewall can inspect and block traffic across a VPC when traffic is routed through the firewall. A Drop action rule can deny traffic from the suspicious source IP.
• GuardDuty findings are sent to Security Hub.
• A Lambda function can be invoked when Security Hub receives a new GuardDuty finding, extract the source IP, and update the Network Firewall policy with a blocking rule.

• GuardDuty threat lists: Used to identify or increase the severity of findings; they do not directly block VPC traffic.
• AWS WAF: Protects supported web applications, such as CloudFront or Application Load Balancers. It does not provide general VPC-wide traffic blocking.
• GuardDuty suppression rules: Suppress or hide findings. They do not block the suspicious traffic.

• Tracking who accessed or changed customer information
• Detecting unauthorized activity
• Supporting accountability and investigations
• Providing evidence for compliance and incident response

• Single sign-on not enabled: SSO improves convenience and centralized authentication, but it is not essential for access control.
• Complex passwords not required: This weakens authentication, but other controls may reduce the risk.
• Security baseline not consistently applied: A concern, but it is less specific and less immediately damaging than having no activity records at all.

• Complex inputs: A queueable job can accept and retain complex data such as Map<Id, Project__c> and List<Account>.
• Callouts: The class should implement both:

apex
  public class ProjectJob implements Queueable, Database.AllowsCallouts {
      // execute method
  }

• Execution confirmation: System.enqueueJob() returns an AsyncApexJob ID. You can use that ID to query job status and confirm whether the job completed successfully.

• @future(callout=true) supports callouts, but future methods have more restrictive parameter types and return no job ID for tracking.
• Database.AllowsCallouts is only an interface that permits callouts; it is not an asynchronous mechanism by itself.
• Schedulable is intended for jobs that run at a scheduled time, not primarily for submitting a long-running asynchronous operation.

• Determine risk tolerance: Tolerance defines how much variation or exposure the organization is willing to accept. Scenarios may help apply tolerance, but they do not primarily determine it.
• Determine risk appetite: Risk appetite is established at an enterprise or governance level. Scenarios help compare risks with the appetite; they do not normally establish it.
• Develop risk responses: Once risks are identified and assessed, scenarios support response planning. However, response development comes later.

apex
Set<Id> accountIds = new Set<Id>{ accountId1, accountId2 };

List<Account> accounts = [
    SELECT Id, Name
    FROM Account
    WHERE Id IN :accountIds
];

• A: LIMIT accepts a number, not a collection of IDs.
• B: Set.containsAll() checks set contents in Apex; it does not filter SOQL results.
• C: Database.query() accepts a dynamic SOQL string, not a Set<Id> directly.

• Virus signatures: Primarily associated with antivirus or endpoint protection.
• Security agent deployment: Typically handled by endpoint-management or EDR tools.
• Vulnerability scanning: Usually performed by vulnerability-management scanners.

• On-premises resources, such as an existing database
• Cloud resources, such as Azure services or virtual machines
• Connectivity that allows the application to use both environments

• Public cloud: resources are entirely provided through a public cloud provider.
• Private cloud: resources are dedicated to one organization, typically on-premises or privately hosted.

• Delete the City column
• Remove duplicates from the Country column

1. ???? City ??? ????? ?? ???? ?????? ???? ?????.
2. ???? ???? Country ?????? Remove duplicates ?????? ??? ?? ???? ??? ?????.

• The CSV contains the external users’ email addresses.
• The bulk invitation feature supports inviting many guest users in one operation.
• Each invited user becomes a guest account in contoso.com.

• Run the backup with WITH CHECKSUM
• Store the backup on an SMB network share

sql
BACKUP DATABASE DB1
TO DISK = '\\FileServer\SqlBackups\DB1_full.bak'
WITH CHECKSUM;

• DMS does not create the SQL Server backups for you.
• You must provide a valid full database backup.
• You must continue taking transaction log backups while the source database remains online.
• The full backup and subsequent log backups must be available in the SMB share that DMS can access.
• WITH CHECKSUM enables backup checksum validation, helping detect backup corruption.

• Act as the default gateway for devices in that VLAN
• Route traffic between different VLANs
• Provide management access to the switch

text
interface vlan 10
 ip address 192.168.10.1 255.255.255.0

• Root path cost
• Port priority
• Port ID

text
interface GigabitEthernet0/1
 spanning-tree vlan 10 port-priority 64

• Interface number: Helps form the port ID but is not normally configured as the preference value.
• VLAN priority: Not used to select a preferred forwarding interface.
• Hello time: Controls how often BPDUs are sent; it does not select a preferred port.

• Lower order numbers appear first.
• For example, a variable with order 100 appears before one with order 200.
• The Sequence field is not the control used for catalog variable display order.
• The Default Value sets a value, not placement.
• The Choice field defines selectable options, not the variable’s position.

• Admin access to the deployment pipeline
• Contributor access to the Development and Test workspaces
• Viewer access to the Production workspace

• Distinct values = 69

• Unique values = 4

• Profitability and financial performance
• Long-term business viability
• Responsible use of resources
• Delivering returns to shareholders

• Social concerns people, communities, labour standards and human rights.
• Environmental concerns impacts on the planet, such as emissions and resource use.
• Legal is important for compliance, but it is not one of the three Triple Bottom Line pillars.

• Behavioral and anomaly detection
• Threat intelligence integration
• User and entity behavior analytics
• Automated response actions, often through SOAR integration

• Virus signatures: Associated primarily with antivirus or endpoint protection.
• Security agent deployment: Usually an endpoint-management or EDR function.
• Vulnerability scanning: Typically performed by vulnerability-management tools, though a SIEM may integrate their results.

• Denial-of-service: Prevents users from accessing a service; it does not normally redirect them.
• Social engineering: Manipulates people into taking an action, such as clicking a malicious link, but does not directly alter DNS resolution.
• ARP spoofing: Associates the attacker’s MAC address with another device’s IP address on a local network. It can intercept traffic, but the described website redirection is most specifically DNS poisoning.

• Deterrent control: The signs warning that people may be filmed can discourage unauthorized activity. They do not physically prevent the activity, but they may influence behavior.
• Detective control: CCTV detects or records activity so security personnel can identify incidents and investigate them later.

• Preventive: Stops an incident from occurring, such as a locked door.
• Corrective: Restores systems after an incident, such as backups.
• Directive: Instructs people what to do, such as security policies or warning instructions.
• Compensating: Provides an alternative control when the preferred control cannot be used.

• Whether security controls are properly designed
• Whether those controls operated effectively over a specified period, such as six months

• NIST CSF: A framework for managing cybersecurity risk, not an independent report proving ongoing control effectiveness.
• CIS Top 20 compliance reports: Can show alignment with security practices but generally do not provide the same formal, period-based assurance.
• Vulnerability report: Shows identified weaknesses at a point in time; it does not prove that security controls operated effectively for six months.

• Start the print spooler service: The Print Spooler manages print jobs and allows Windows to communicate with printers. Starting it restores printing immediately.
• Set the Print Spooler to Automatic: This makes Windows start the service during each boot, preventing the user from needing help every morning.

• No dependencies: Dependencies help determine which services start first; changing this does not solve the recurring issue.
• Recovery: Take no action: This would prevent Windows from responding appropriately if the service fails.
• Printer extensions and notifications: Not required for basic printing.
• Log on as the user: The spooler normally runs under a system service account; using the user’s account is unnecessary and potentially less secure.

• Architects design overall Splunk infrastructure and data strategy.
• Administrators manage configuration, access, and system operations.
• Knowledge Managers create and maintain knowledge objects such as data models, field extractions, and event types. They may support pivots, but they are not the primary users of them.

• Limiting the number of MAC addresses allowed on a switch port
• Restricting ports to specific known MAC addresses
• Taking an action—such as dropping frames or shutting down the port—when the limit is exceeded

• Load balancer: Distributes application traffic; it does not protect switch MAC tables.
• IPS: May detect some attack traffic, but is not the primary control for switch-port MAC limits.
• NGFW: Filters network traffic at the firewall, but does not directly control MAC addresses learned by a switch.

roles/owner

bash
gcloud projects get-iam-policy PROJECT_ID

yaml
bindings:

members:

  - user:admin@example.com
  role: roles/owner

• Project-wide SSH keys control VM SSH access, not IAM ownership.
• Identity-Aware Proxy permissions apply to IAP-protected applications, not the complete project IAM policy.
• Audit Logs record activity; they do not directly show the current set of role assignments.

• Authentication: Verifies who the user is.
• Authorization: Determines what the authenticated user is allowed to access.
• Accounting: Records login activity and resource usage.

• CIA: Confidentiality, integrity, and availability—the core security objectives.
• ACL: Access Control List; rules that permit or deny traffic or access.
• PEM: A format and standard commonly associated with encoded certificates and keys.

• One physical NIC is active and carries traffic.
• Another NIC remains on standby.
• If the active uplink fails, traffic switches to the backup uplink.
• This provides redundancy without requiring special switch-side link aggregation configuration.

• Balance-SLB: Distributes traffic based on source load balancing; not the default.
• Balance-TCP: Uses dynamic TCP traffic balancing and generally requires appropriate network-switch configuration.
• No Uplink Bond: Incorrect because vs0 is normally configured with redundant uplinks.

• A: Knowledge of IT platforms, networks, and methodologies — Useful technical knowledge, but the CISO does not need to be the deepest technical expert.
• C: Regulatory and project management knowledge — Important, but compliance and projects must still support the organization’s broader needs.
• D: Managing people and resources — Essential for execution, but effective management of the wrong security priorities will not produce good results.

1. The specific table — for example, incident
2. The parent table — for example, task
3. The wildcard table — *, which applies broadly

DAX
Blue Sales =
CALCULATE(
    [Total Sales],
    KEEPFILTERS('Product'[Color] = "Blue")
)

• CALCULATE evaluates [Total Sales] after applying an additional filter.
• 'Product'[Color] = "Blue" restricts the calculation to blue products.
• KEEPFILTERS ensures the existing filter context is preserved. For example, filters for year, region, or customer remain active. If Color is already filtered, the blue condition is applied as an intersection rather than replacing the existing filter.
• Avoid ALL, because it removes filters and would not maintain the existing context.

• B. Deploy to a SageMaker endpoint: This is needed for SageMaker-hosted models, not for a model intended to be used directly in Amazon Bedrock.
• C. Register with SageMaker Model Registry: SageMaker Model Registry is unrelated to invoking custom models in Bedrock.
• D. Grant access in Bedrock: Access permissions may be necessary, but they do not replace the required provisioned capacity.

• Amazon S3 as the origin for static content
• Application Load Balancer (ALB) as the origin for dynamic content
• Amazon Route 53 configured to point the company’s domain name to CloudFront

• /static/* ? S3 origin; cache content at edge locations
• Dynamic paths such as /api/* ? ALB origin; forward requests to the EC2 application

• B — Incorporate contextual output encoding/escaping: Encode untrusted data based on its context—HTML, attribute, JavaScript, or URL—so the browser treats it as data rather than executable code.
• D — Run untrusted HTML input through an HTML sanitization engine: Sanitization removes or neutralizes dangerous elements and attributes, such as script-related content, while preserving safe HTML where needed.

• A: Enabling client-side scripts does not prevent XSS. Script restrictions may reduce risk in some environments, but “enable” is not a general XSS control.
• C: Cookie inspection is unrelated to preventing injected scripts.
• E: The SameSite cookie attribute primarily helps mitigate CSRF, not XSS. It should not generally be described as an XSS prevention measure.

• A. Continue using the current system: It will eventually fail and offers no recovery strategy.
• B. Virtualize the entire system: Correct. A VM can preserve the old OS, application, settings, and dependencies while running on newer physical hardware.
• C. Containerize the application: Containers generally share the host OS kernel and are not suitable for preserving an entire incompatible legacy OS.
• D. Clone the disks to USB: A disk clone may provide backup or temporary recovery, but it does not solve hardware compatibility or provide a reliable long-term platform.

• AES: Symmetric block cipher; modern and widely recommended.
• DES: Symmetric block cipher, but obsolete because its key size is too small.
• IDEA: Symmetric block cipher.
• PGP: An encryption system/application that uses a hybrid approach. It is not itself a single symmetric block cipher.

• Red team: Offensive security; attempts exploitation and simulates attackers.
• Blue team: Defensive security; monitors, detects, and responds to attacks.
• Purple team: Combines red- and blue-team activities to improve defenses, but is not the best direct answer here.
• White team: Usually oversees or coordinates an exercise, including rules of engagement and scope.

1. Install a Cassandra-compatible ODBC driver.
2. Configure a data source name (DSN), if required.
3. In Power BI Desktop, select Get Data > ODBC.
4. Choose the configured DSN and connect.

• Microsoft SQL Server database: Connects to SQL Server, not Cassandra.
• OLE DB: Requires a compatible OLE DB provider; this is not the standard choice for Cassandra in Power BI.
• OData: Requires Cassandra data to be exposed through an OData service, which is not the normal direct connection method.

• Render thousands of animation frames
• Generate product images in multiple sizes
• Apply filters or transformations to a large image collection
• Produce visual effects for a video

• Free: Doesn’t support the required custom domain and SSL configuration.
• Shared: Doesn’t provide the required SSL support or scalability.
• Basic: Supports multiple instances and SSL, but its storage limit is insufficient for the required 12 GB.
• Standard: Supports:

• Virus signatures: Primarily associated with antivirus or antimalware tools.
• Security agent deployment: Usually handled by endpoint-management or endpoint-security platforms.
• Vulnerability scanning: Performed by vulnerability-assessment tools, although a SIEM may ingest their results.

• Customer needs: Primary focus in agile; guides prioritization and decision-making.
• Organization’s needs: Important constraints, but processes should be tailored when they create waste.
• Agile lead/project manager: Their role is to facilitate value delivery, not prioritize their own preferences.

• CBWFQ (Class-Based Weighted Fair Queuing): Creates traffic classes and assigns each class a guaranteed bandwidth or queueing treatment.
• PQ (Priority Queuing): Uses multiple queues with strict priority. Higher-priority queues are serviced before lower-priority queues, making it useful for delay-sensitive traffic—but it can starve lower-priority traffic.

• FRTS: Traffic shaping for Frame Relay; it controls the transmission rate rather than selecting packets during congestion.
• CAR: Polices traffic by rate, typically dropping or remarking packets that exceed a limit.
• PBR: Policy-Based Routing; it selects forwarding paths and is not a QoS queueing mechanism.

• A script of cloud CLI commands: IaC because the commands can be saved, reviewed, versioned, and rerun consistently.
• Manually run curl commands: Not necessarily IaC; they are manual actions unless organized into an automated script.
• A sequence of REST requests passed to an API: Could represent automation, but the wording does not explicitly say they are stored and executed as reusable code.
• Commands entered into a cloud console: Manual operation, not IaC.

• ROUGE-N: matching word sequences, such as unigrams or bigrams
• ROUGE-L: matching the longest common subsequence
• ROUGE-Recall: how much of the reference content appears in the generated summary

• F1 score: A general classification metric based on precision and recall; not specifically designed for summarization.
• Perplexity: Measures how well a language model predicts text, rather than how closely a generated summary matches a reference.
• Fréchet Inception Distance (FID): Typically evaluates similarity between generated and real images, not text.

• Disabling a compromised account
• Blocking a malicious IP address
• Isolating an endpoint
• Creating or escalating an incident ticket

• Virus signatures: Primarily associated with antivirus or endpoint protection.
• Security agent deployment: Usually handled by endpoint-management or security-agent platforms.
• Vulnerability scanning: Typically performed by vulnerability-management tools.

Previous Year Sales =
CALCULATE(
    [Total Sales],
    PARALLELPERIOD('DATE'[Month], -1, YEAR)
)

• CALCULATE evaluates [Total Sales] after modifying the filter context.
• PARALLELPERIOD shifts the current date period. -1 moves it backward, and YEAR specifies a one-year shift.
• 'DATE'[Month] is the date column used for the time calculation. In a proper date table, this should be a real date column or an appropriate calendar column—not merely text such as "January".

• User2 is in Group1, so CA2 applies.
• CA2 targets Office 365.
• CA2 requires MFA OR an app protection policy.
• User2 has no app protection policy, but if User2 successfully completes MFA, the OR condition is satisfied.
• The device being noncompliant does not matter because CA2 does not require device compliance.
• CA1 applies only to Global Administrators. Unless User2 is also a Global Administrator, CA1 does not apply.
