iSQI CTFL-AT Exam Prep
ISTQB Certified Tester - Agile Tester (Page 2 )

• Instant messaging/chat: Can be abused to send malicious links or attachments, but P2P file sharing is the more direct high-risk source.
• E-mail: A common malware delivery method, but this question specifically emphasizes an application type associated with direct file exchange.
• End-to-end applications: This describes communication protection or architecture, not a specific application category known for malware distribution.

• FTP — Transfers files using a client/server model and supports authentication. It uses separate control and data connections.
• TFTP — A very simple file-transfer protocol with no authentication and minimal features. Commonly used to transfer router or switch configuration files and IOS images.
• SCP — Securely copies files over SSH. It provides encryption and authentication.
• SFTP — Also transfers files securely through SSH, but provides more file-management capabilities than traditional SCP.
• HTTP/HTTPS — Primarily web protocols, but can also download files; HTTPS encrypts the session.

• TFTP = simple, unauthenticated file transfer
• FTP = file transfer with authentication, but not inherently encrypted
• SCP/SFTP = secure file transfer using SSH

• A is valid:

apex
  for (Account theAccount : AccountList) {
      // process theAccount
  }

• D is conceptually valid, using an index:

apex
  for (Integer i = 0; i < AccountList.size(); i++) {
      Account theAccount = AccountList[i];
  }

• B is invalid because for(AccountList) is not valid loop syntax.
• C is invalid because each item is an Account, not a List.

• Accept: Acknowledge the risk and take no additional action.
• Transfer: Shift the risk or its financial impact to another party, such as through insurance or outsourcing.
• Mitigate: Reduce the likelihood or impact of the risk, such as by implementing security controls.
• Avoid: Eliminate the activity or exposure that creates the risk.

• Least privilege: Limits users to only the access necessary for their job.
• Background checks: Help identify potentially risky individuals before employment.
• Separation of duties: Ensures that one person cannot complete a sensitive process alone, reducing fraud and abuse.

• The server accepts unauthenticated image uploads, which creates an opportunity for an attacker to upload a malicious script disguised as an image or using an unexpected file type.
• A web shell is a malicious script placed on a web server that gives an attacker remote command execution through web requests.
• The suspicious process and outbound connection to a low-reputation IP are consistent with the attacker using the web shell to execute commands or establish communication with command-and-control infrastructure.

• Worm: Usually self-propagates across multiple systems; the scenario focuses on the upload page.
• Cryptocurrency mining: Possible, but there is no indication of resource-intensive mining activity or insider involvement.
• Rootkit Trojan over RDP: The evidence points to the vulnerable upload functionality, not an exposed RDP service.

• Complex inputs: A queueable job can accept and retain complex data such as Map<Id, Project__c> and List<Account>.
• Callouts: The class should implement both:

apex
  public class ProjectJob implements Queueable, Database.AllowsCallouts {
      // execute method
  }

• Execution confirmation: System.enqueueJob() returns an AsyncApexJob ID. You can use that ID to query job status and confirm whether the job completed successfully.

• @future(callout=true) supports callouts, but future methods have more restrictive parameter types and return no job ID for tracking.
• Database.AllowsCallouts is only an interface that permits callouts; it is not an asynchronous mechanism by itself.
• Schedulable is intended for jobs that run at a scheduled time, not primarily for submitting a long-running asynchronous operation.

DAX
Previous Year Sales =
CALCULATE(
    [Total Sales],
    PARALLELPERIOD('DATE'[Month], -1, YEAR)
)

• CALCULATE evaluates [Total Sales] after modifying the filter context.
• PARALLELPERIOD shifts the current date period. -1 moves it backward, and YEAR specifies a one-year shift.
• 'DATE'[Month] is the date column used for the time calculation. In a proper date table, this should be a real date column or an appropriate calendar column—not merely text such as "January".

• Unsafe images: Requires image/content moderation before the image is processed.
• Hidden instructions embedded in images: These are indirect prompt injections contained in untrusted image content or extracted text, not necessarily in the user’s typed prompt.

• Constrained VMs: VMs whose workloads are experiencing resource pressure, such as insufficient CPU or memory. They may need additional resources or optimization.
• Overprovisioned VMs: VMs allocated more CPU, memory, or storage than their workloads require. Their resources may be reclaimed or reduced.

• Underprovisioned VMs: This is not the predefined view identified for this report question.
• Zombie VMs: These are typically inactive or unused VMs and are useful for cleanup, but they are not the two views specifically intended here to identify inefficient resource allocation.

• Data source: Folder
• Transformation: Remove the Content column (or keep only the file-metadata columns)

Why

• File name
• Extension
• Date modified
• Folder path
• Content — the binary contents of the file

• A — VARIANT "null" values are not the same as SQL NULL values: True

• B — Frequent, single-row DMLs: False

• C — Validate data before loading into the target table: True

• D — Use staging tables to manage MERGE statements: True

• The Print Spooler is a Windows service.
• Services can have dependencies—other services that must be running first.
• If a dependency fails, the Print Spooler may repeatedly fail to start.
• In the Services tool, the technician can view the service’s Dependencies tab, start or restart services, and configure startup behavior.

• Processes: Shows currently running applications and processes.
• Startup: Controls which programs launch during Windows startup.
• Performance: Displays resource usage such as CPU, memory, disk, and network activity.

• Insert is used when you are creating a new record. It saves the record to the table and then leaves the form.
• Update is used when editing an existing record. It saves the modifications and then leaves the form.

• MFA: Protects sign-in and authentication.
• Azure Key Vault: Protects deployment secrets and credentials.
• Answer: No (B).

• Authentication: Verifies who the user is.
• Authorization: Determines what the authenticated user is allowed to access.
• Accounting: Records activity such as login times and resource usage.

• CIA: Confidentiality, integrity, and availability—the three core security goals.
• ACL: Access Control List, which defines permitted or denied traffic or access.
• PEM: A certificate and key encoding format, not the primary function of RADIUS.

• Product recall: Premature before confirming a violation or assessing risk.
• Notify the regulatory authority: May be required later, especially if the discrepancy affects safety or compliance, but first investigate and verify the facts.
• Inform production: Not the initial regulatory assessment step; production may become involved if a packaging or manufacturing error is identified.

• Response and resolution times
• Availability or uptime requirements
• Performance targets
• Support responsibilities
• Penalties or remedies if requirements aren’t met

• SOW (Statement of Work): Describes the work, deliverables, scope, and schedule for a project.
• MOA (Memorandum of Agreement): Documents agreed-upon responsibilities or cooperation between parties.
• MOU (Memorandum of Understanding): Records a general mutual understanding, often without detailed enforceable service targets.

• The backup file is complete and uncorrupted.
• The required data can actually be recovered.
• The recovery process and documentation work as expected.
• Recovery objectives, such as acceptable downtime, can be met.

• Backup logs may show that a job completed, but not that the backup is usable.
• File size does not prove the contents are valid.
• Email notifications may confirm process completion, not recoverability.
• Appointing a DBA does not itself validate backups.

1. Clear principles and boundaries — Employees have freedom, but decisions must remain within clear organizational values, policies and limits.
2. High degree of freedom — Managers are trusted to make decisions rather than seeking continual approval from senior management.
3. Frontline customer responsibility — Customer-facing managers should be empowered to manage customer relationships and respond quickly to needs.
4. Transparent and ethical information — Information should be openly available and used honestly, supporting trust and informed decision-making.

• Due diligence: Investigating and evaluating a third party before entering into or continuing a business relationship.
• Attestation: An independent party provides assurance about an organization’s claims or controls. A SOC 2 examination is an example of an attestation engagement, but the analyst requesting and reviewing the report is performing due diligence.
• Internal audit: Reviews the organization’s own internal controls.
• Penetration testing: Actively tests systems for exploitable vulnerabilities.

• Malware or malicious software
• Command-and-control tools
• Internet surveillance and intrusion software

• ITAR: A U.S. regulation controlling defense-related articles and services; it is not the international arrangement described.
• Palermo Convention: Focuses on transnational organized crime and related protocols, not export controls for cyber weapons.
• GDPR: European data-protection and privacy legislation.

• Azure DevOps Analytics views are accessed through the Power BI Azure DevOps (Boards only) connector.
• This connector authenticates directly to Azure DevOps Services and lets you select an Analytics view.
• Analytics views allow filtering and shaping data in the cloud before Power BI loads it.
• Azure DevOps Server (Boards only) is for an on-premises Azure DevOps Server instance, not Azure DevOps cloud.
• A generic OData Feed connection can access OData endpoints, but it is not the purpose-built connector for Azure DevOps Analytics views.
• “OData queries” describes the underlying technology or query approach, not the most appropriate Azure DevOps connector choice here.

1. Horizontal scaling — Yes

1. Vertical scaling — Yes

1. Scaling can manage costs — Yes

• Horizontal = more or fewer instances
• Vertical = larger or smaller instances

• Amazon S3 as the origin for static content
• Application Load Balancer (ALB) as the origin for dynamic content
• Amazon Route 53 configured to point the company’s domain name to CloudFront

• /static/* ? S3 origin; cache content at edge locations
• Dynamic paths such as /api/* ? ALB origin; forward requests to the EC2 application

• CHAP: Uses a challenge-response exchange, so the password is not directly transmitted.
• IPsec: Provides authentication, integrity, and encryption for IP communications.
• EAP: An authentication framework that supports stronger methods, such as certificates or token-based authentication.

• Identity: User-assigned managed identity

• Authorization: Azure RBAC

• C. An auto-labeling policy for a retention label
• D. A retention label

1. Create a retention label configured to:

1. Create an auto-labeling policy that detects the built-in Credit Card Number sensitive information type (SIT) and automatically applies the retention label to matching messages and documents.

• Sales revenue is affected because internal sales are recorded at the transfer price.
• Operating profit is affected because revenue changes while costs may remain unchanged.
• Return on investment (ROI) is affected because ROI depends on operating profit and the division’s investment.
• Cost of components purchased is not affected by the transfer price. These are costs incurred when buying components from external suppliers, not the internal price charged for the division’s output.

• Microsoft Entra Connect synchronization
• AD FS
• Active Directory Domain Services

• SendGrid with advanced reporting: Used for application email delivery, not directory synchronization monitoring.
• Action group: Used with Azure Monitor alerts, but it is not the native monitoring solution for Microsoft Entra Connect synchronization health.
• Azure Network Watcher: Monitors Azure networking, not identity synchronization.

1. Wireless AP

1. Router

1. Firewall

1. Device placement

• If the attachment is safe, it is released to the user.
• If malware is detected, the attachment is blocked or removed according to the policy.
• This reduces delivery delays without disabling malware scanning.

• Replace removes the original attachment and replaces it with a text file explaining that it was blocked. It does not primarily optimize delivery time.
• Block and Enable redirect blocks messages with suspicious attachments and can redirect them for review; it does not provide the required faster delivery experience.
• Monitor and Enable redirect is for observation and does not reliably block malicious attachments.

• Accept: Acknowledge the risk and take no additional action.
• Mitigate: Reduce the likelihood or impact of the risk through controls.
• Avoid: Eliminate the activity or situation causing the risk.
• Transfer: Shift responsibility or financial impact to another party, such as through insurance or a contract.

• Economy: Obtaining inputs at the lowest appropriate cost.
• Efficiency: Making the best use of resources, such as staff, money, and equipment.
• Effectiveness: Achieving the intended objectives or outcomes.

• B — Sales staff will tender for riskier contracts:

• C — Sales staff will encroach on other territories:

• D — Sales staff will look for new jobs:

• Elasticity: Automatically increases or decreases resources based on demand.
• Scalability: The ability to increase capacity to handle more workload.
• Low latency: Minimizes network response time; it does not provide protection from failures.
