What is a characteristic of non-relational data?

  1. no indexes
  2. self-describing entities
  3. a well-defined schema
  4. no unique key values

Answer(s): B

DRAG DROP (Drag and Drop is not supported)
Match the data storage options to the appropriate types of data.

To answer, drag the appropriate data storage option from the column on the left to its data type on the right. Each data storage option may be used once, more than once, or not at all.
NOTE: Each correct match is worth one point.

  1. See Explanation section for answer.

Answer(s): A

Explanation:

Box 1: Azure Blob Storage
Is Azure blob storage ideal for streaming video and audio?
Blob storage type should be used for streaming audio and video files. Azure Blob storage is mainly used for unstructured large files such as audio, video, images, backup files, etc. In short, Blob storage can store a huge volume of unstructured data and also simple and secure service to share big data.

Box 2: Azure Cosmos DB for NoSQL
In Azure Cosmos DB's API for NoSQL, items are stored as JSON. The type system and expressions are restricted to deal only with JSON types.

Box 3: Azure Data Factory
Datasets in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics
An Azure Data Factory or Synapse workspace can have one or more pipelines. A pipeline is a logical grouping of activities that together perform a task. The activities in a pipeline define actions to perform on your data. Now, a dataset is a named view of data that simply points or references the data you want to use in your activities as inputs and outputs. Datasets identify data within different data stores, such as tables, files, folders, and documents. For example, an Azure Blob dataset specifies the blob container and folder in Blob Storage from which the activity should read the data.

HOTSPOT (Drag and Drop is not supported)
For each of the following statements, select Yes if the statement is true. Otherwise, select No.
NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  1. See Explanation section for answer.

Answer(s): A

Explanation:

Box 1: No
The default access tier for a new general-purpose v2 storage account is set to the hot tier by default.

Box 2: No
You can append data to a blob by creating an append blob. Append blobs are made up of blocks like block blobs, but are optimized for append operations. Append blobs are ideal for scenarios such as logging data from virtual machines.

Box 3: Yes
Archive tier - An offline tier optimized for storing data that is rarely accessed, and that has flexible latency requirements, on the order of hours. Data in the archive tier should be stored for a minimum of 180 days.

Box: for NoSQL
SELECT clause in Azure Cosmos DB
APPLIES TO: NoSQL

Every query consists of a SELECT clause and optional FROM and WHERE clauses, per ANSI SQL standards. Typically, the source in the FROM clause is enumerated, and the WHERE clause applies a filter on the source to retrieve a subset of JSON items. The SELECT clause then projects the requested JSON values in the select list.

In answer to question 23 mistake: it should be a,b because it is related to stream data, so it is processed as create with low latency is expected. Data processing periodically mostly related to batch
