DRAG DROP (Drag and Drop is not supported)
A company plans to use Dynamics 365 finance and operations apps.

Code builds for new development must follow Microsoft’s recommendations by using supported tools.

Virtual machine (VM) environments are required for the following usage:

-Develop code.
-Centrally merge all code in a structured way.

You need to implement a code management solution.

Which tools should you use? To answer, drag the appropriate tools to the correct requirements. Each tool may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between panes or scroll to view content.

NOTE: Each correct selection is worth one point.

  1. See Explanation section for answer.

Answer(s): A

Explanation:

Box 1: Lifecycle Services (LCS)
Deploying cloud development environments
To deploy a cloud development environment in your LCS project:

1. Create a connection between an LCS project and your Azure subscription. You will need your Azure subscription ID and authorize the use of the subscription.
2. Select + under Environments to deploy.
3. Select an application and platform version.
4. Select an environment topology. For more information, see Sign up for preview subscriptions.
5. If you chose a cloud-hosted environment, select which Azure connector you want to use. Then select Deploy.

Box 2: Azure DevOps
Azure DevOps provides developer services for allowing teams to plan work, collaborate on code development, and build and deploy applications. Azure DevOps supports a collaborative culture and set of processes that bring together developers, project managers, and contributors to develop software.

Box 3: Git
Git is a DevOps tool used for source code management. It is a free and open-source version control system used to handle small to very large projects efficiently. Git is used to tracking changes in the source code, enabling multiple developers to work together on non-linear development.

Box 1: Legal entity

Box 2: Legal entity for elimination
Elimination transactions are required when a parent legal entity does business with one or more subsidiary legal entities and uses consolidated financial reporting. Consolidated financial statements must include only transactions that occur between the consolidated organization and other entities outside that organizations. Therefore, transactions between legal entities that are part of the same organization must be removed, or eliminated, from the general ledger, so they don't appear on financial reports. There are multiple ways to report about eliminations:

An elimination rule can be created and processed in a consolidation or elimination company.
Financial reporting can be used to show the eliminations accounts and dimensions on a specific row or column.
A separate legal entity can be used to post manual transaction entries to track eliminations.

A company is deploying a Microsoft Power Platform solution.
You need to grant access to the solution based on the following requirements:

•Users must be able to customize the environment.
•Users must be able to view rows only for the tables they create.

Which role should you assign?

  1. System Customizer
  2. Common Data Service User
  3. Environment Maker
  4. System Administrator

Answer(s): A

Explanation:

The System Customizer:
Has full permission to customize the system.
Can only view rows for system tables that they create.

Incorrect:
Not C: The Environment Maker role can create resources within an environment including apps, connections, custom connectors, gateways, and flows using Power Automate.

Environment makers can also distribute the apps they build in an environment to other users in your organization by sharing the app with individual users, security groups, or all users in the organization.

Not D: The System Administrator has too much permissions, as it can view all data in the system.

DRAG DROP (Drag and Drop is not supported)
A company plans to implement Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management.
You are a solution architect and need to prepare a Solution Blueprint document for this implementation.

You need to classify the requirements by type.

What is the classification for each requirement? To answer, drag the appropriate classifications to the correct requirements. Each classification may be used once, more than once, or not at all. You may need to drag the split bar between panes or scroll to view content.

  1. See Explanation section for answer.

Answer(s): A

Explanation:

Box 1: Non-functional
Requirements are commonly referred to as either functional or non-functional. Functional requirements describe what the solution needs to do or its behaviors, and non-functional requirements commonly describe non-behavior aspects of the solution such as performance requirements.

The following examples are of well-composed non-functional requirements:
Average screen load time for internal users that are not mobile will be less than three seconds.
External portal must be able to handle 100 concurrent users who are performing case submission.
Any credit card number that is used cannot be stored in Common Data Service environment.

Box 2: Functional
Example functional requirements
The following scenarios describe simple examples of functional requirements:

As a sales user, I need to be able to close an opportunity as lost and then capture why it was lost so that we can improve our sales tactics in the future.

As a sales manager, I need to be able to approve a discount on a quote so that I can reduce the total price and give a discount to the customer.

As a staff accountant, I want to be prevented from closing a batch that has pending items so that I do not have to reopen it later.

Box 3: Non-functional
Examples of common non-functional requirement types include:

Availability

Compliance/regulatory

* -> Data retention/residency

Performance (response time, and so on)

Privacy

Recovery time

Security

Scalability
