Overview of the Alcatel-Lucent Mobile Gateways for the LTE Evolved Packet Core Exam
The 4A0-M02 certification validates the technical proficiency of Network Engineers and System Integrators in managing Nokia’s 7750 Service Router and 7705 Service Aggregation Router within LTE Evolved Packet Core architectures. Candidates must demonstrate command over the Mobility Management Entity, Serving Gateway, and Packet Data Network Gateway functionalities using the SR OS software environment. Mastery includes configuring GTPv2-C signaling, S5/S8 interface protocols, S1-MME connectivity, and robust subscriber management policies. Practitioners evaluate traffic engineering, QoS enforcement via Gx/Gy interfaces, and operational troubleshooting for high-availability mobile data services, ensuring deep integration between radio access networks and core infrastructure to maintain carrier-grade performance standards.
