• Guiding principles: Recommendations that guide decisions and actions; they do not describe the entire system.
• Four dimensions: Perspectives used to ensure a balanced approach to service management.
• Service relationship: Describes cooperation between a service provider and service consumer, rather than the whole value-creation system.

• An Anypoint VPC provides private network connectivity for CloudHub applications.
• An IPsec VPN tunnel or AWS Direct Connect connects that VPC to the customer’s on-premises network without exposing the database to the public internet.
• The VPC and on-premises firewalls must allow the required traffic, routes, and ports.

• Static IP addresses only identify the application’s outbound traffic; they do not create a private network path to the database.
• A Dedicated Load Balancer does not replace the required network connection to the on-premises environment. It is also unnecessary merely to reach individual databases.
• Moving sensitive databases to a DMZ is not the intended architecture and could reduce their protection.

• A — Too infrequent: Formal strategies are often reviewed only every three to five years. This can make the organisation slow to respond to rapid changes in technology, competitors, regulation or customer needs.

• C — Relies on predicting the future: The approach assumes senior managers can make reasonably reliable forecasts and assumptions. In uncertain environments, these assumptions may quickly become invalid.

• E — Can restrict radical innovation: Formal planning tends to favour existing information, established objectives and incremental improvements. This may discourage experimental or highly innovative strategies that emerge from lower levels of the organisation.

• B concerns the difficulty of achieving competitive advantage through core competences when competing with focused specialists. It is not specifically a drawback of the formal top-down planning process.
• D is an activity organisations should undertake—continuous monitoring—not a drawback of the approach itself.

• Open or insecure ports
• Enabled legacy or insecure protocols
• Known vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
• Weak services and outdated software

• curl tests web requests and HTTP-based services.
• Wireshark captures and analyzes network traffic; it does not normally scan servers for weaknesses.
• netcat can test connectivity to individual ports and sometimes grab service banners, but it is not a comprehensive vulnerability scanner.

• Import: Copies data into the Power BI model. It requires scheduled or manual refresh, so it may not meet the two-minute requirement.
• Live connection: Connects to an existing Power BI semantic model or Analysis Services model; it is not the appropriate choice for connecting directly to the Azure SQL database in this scenario.

• Restarting the device: may fix software problems, but not a directional connection issue.
• Swollen battery: is a safety concern, but would not typically cause recognition only in one orientation.
• Failing cable: possible in general, but less likely because it works on other similar devices.
• Dirty or damaged port: best matches the symptoms. Inspect and carefully clean the port, or have it serviced if damaged.

• Authentication: Verifies a user’s identity, such as username and password.
• Authorization: Determines what the authenticated user is allowed to access.
• Accounting: Records connection and usage details, such as login time or session duration.

• CIA: Confidentiality, integrity, and availability are broad security objectives, not a specific RADIUS function.
• ACL: An access control list contains permit/deny rules on systems or network devices. RADIUS can support access decisions but is not itself an ACL.
• PEM: Privacy-Enhanced Mail is also associated with certificate and key encoding formats; it is unrelated to RADIUS’s primary purpose.

• Too many callouts: The callout occurs asynchronously in the future method, and each future transaction can perform its permitted callouts.
• Too many SOQL queries: The SOQL query is inside the future execution, not repeatedly in the trigger transaction.
• Callout from triggers not supported: Direct callouts from triggers are prohibited, but the trigger delegates the callout to asynchronous Apex, which is the correct pattern.

• Customer contains one row per customer and the customer’s Address ID.
• Address contains one row per address and the corresponding location details.

2. Choose Merge Queries.

• Append adds rows vertically and is used for tables with the same structure.
• Group By summarizes rows rather than adding related columns.

• Warehouse: Primarily T-SQL-based and structured. It does not provide the same native Spark write experience or flexibility for semi-structured data.

• tag=Priv searches the tag field for values beginning with Priv. The wildcard can match the remaining characters, so it matches Privileged.
• tag=Priv would search for the exact tag Priv, not Privileged.
• tag=priv* uses lowercase priv; tag matching is treated as case-sensitive here, so it may not match the tag Privileged.
• tag=privileged uses the wrong capitalization for the exact tag.

• The servers are powered on.
• The network is functioning.
• Devices can still reach the server network.

• ARP poisoning: Redirects or intercepts local network traffic; it usually affects communication paths rather than overwhelming a service.
• Jamming: Disrupts wireless or radio signals. It would not fit a system that remains accessible from devices on the server network.
• Kerberoasting: Attempts to crack service-account credentials from Kerberos tickets; it does not normally cause an immediate outage.

• Sales – DirectQuery: Near-real-time data should not rely on an imported cache. DirectQuery sends queries to the source when visuals are loaded, allowing recent sales data to appear.
• SalesAggregate – Import: A weekly refresh is sufficient, and imported data generally gives faster visual performance because it is stored in Power BI’s in-memory cache.
• Customer and Date – Dual: These are dimension tables used with both the DirectQuery Sales table and the imported SalesAggregate table. Dual allows Power BI to use cached data when possible, while still behaving appropriately in queries involving DirectQuery data. This can improve performance and reduce unnecessary limited relationships.

• CCTV system — Detective control: Cameras monitor and record activity, helping identify or investigate security incidents after—or while—they occur.
