Overview of the Upgrading to Netware 6.5 Exam
Network engineers and systems administrators must demonstrate proficiency in migrating existing NetWare environments to version 6.5, emphasizing the transition to eDirectory 8.7.3 and the integration of Novell Storage Services. Technical mastery requires configuring the iManager administrative interface, implementing Apache-based web services, and deploying the NetWare WebAccess component. Candidates must manage complex server-side Java applications via the JVM, optimize native file system protocols including NCP and CIFS, and configure iPrint services for cross-platform enterprise environments. The curriculum mandates expertise in legacy cluster services, modular software installations, and secure identity management within the Novell modular framework to ensure seamless infrastructure interoperability and system stability.
