Overview of the Professional VMware Application Modernization Exam
Cloud architects and platform engineers targeting the 2V0-71.21 certification must demonstrate advanced proficiency in architecting and managing enterprise-grade Kubernetes environments via VMware Tanzu. The curriculum focuses on orchestrating containerized workloads, configuring Tanzu Kubernetes Grid clusters, and implementing lifecycle management within vSphere with Tanzu. Candidates evaluate deep technical competency in utilizing Tanzu Mission Control for centralized cluster governance, configuring Harbor for secure container registry operations, and integrating Tanzu Service Mesh for mTLS and traffic management. Furthermore, the exam validates expertise in deploying cloud-native applications, managing persistent storage abstractions, analyzing observability metrics, and executing robust troubleshooting methodologies across distributed multi-cloud Kubernetes infrastructures.
