Overview of the Huawei Certified Network Professional-Building Carrier OTN Transmission Network Exam
Targeting network engineers and transmission planners, the H31-331 certification validates proficiency in designing and maintaining complex carrier-grade Optical Transport Networks. The curriculum mandates deep technical comprehension of OTN framing, multiplexing structures, and forward error correction mechanisms. Candidates must master WDM system principles, including EDFA amplification, dispersion compensation, and OSNR optimization within high-capacity transmission architectures. Furthermore, the exam evaluates competence in configuring ASON control planes, implementing coherent detection technologies, and performing fault isolation within multi-service grooming platforms. Practical knowledge of network management via U2000/NCE platforms, wavelength routing, and performance monitoring remains essential for architecting scalable, resilient long-haul optical infrastructure deployments.
