Overview of the Dell SONiC Deploy Exam
The D-SNC-DY-00 examination evaluates Network Engineers on the deployment and lifecycle management of the Dell Software for Open Networking in the Cloud (SONiC) operating system. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting SONiC on modular and fixed-form-factor switches within disaggregated network environments. The assessment focuses on Docker container management, Redis database interaction, and the Switch Abstraction Interface (SAI) architecture. Core competencies include implementing BGP routing protocols, validating Link Aggregation Groups, managing system telemetry, and executing Zero Touch Provisioning workflows. Practitioners must effectively utilize the Command Line Interface and JSON-based management tools to maintain high-availability data center fabric infrastructures.
